Everything you need to know about installing, configuring, and using AIR Client.
AIR Client is a lightweight, high-performance Minecraft launcher built to get you into the game faster. It manages your worlds, mods, servers, cosmetics, and friends — all from one clean interface.
Once AIR Client is publicly available, you'll be able to download it directly from the Download page. For now, join the Discord to get notified when beta access opens.
Installing AIR Client is straightforward. Download the installer for your platform, run it, and follow the setup wizard. AIR Client automatically detects your existing Minecraft installation and works alongside it — nothing gets overwritten.
Windows: Download the .exe installer and run it. AIR Client installs to %APPDATA%/air-client.
macOS: Download the .dmg, drag to Applications, and launch. You may need to allow the app in System Preferences → Security & Privacy.
Linux: Download the AppImage, make it executable, and run. Or install via Flatpak: flatpak install air-client.
Does AIR Client replace the vanilla launcher?
No. AIR Client works alongside your existing Minecraft installation. You can switch between them anytime.
Is AIR Client free?
Yes. The core client is free. Optional cosmetics can be purchased to support development.
Can I use mods?
Absolutely. AIR Client has built-in mod management with support for Fabric, Forge, and Quilt.
Will my worlds carry over?
Yes. AIR Client reads your existing .minecraft folder. All worlds, resource packs, and settings are preserved.

Client won't launch: Make sure you have Java 17+ installed. AIR Client will prompt you to install it if missing.
Mods not loading: Verify the mod is compatible with your selected mod loader and Minecraft version. Check the Mods tab for compatibility badges.
Performance issues: Open Settings → Performance and try one of the preset optimization profiles. Lower render distance and disable shaders for a quick boost.
Login issues: Ensure you're using a valid Microsoft account. AIR Client uses Microsoft's official authentication.

You can browse and install mods directly within AIR Client's Mods tab. Mods are organized by category, version, and popularity. AIR Client handles dependencies automatically.
