1. Overview
[AIR Productions / Company Name] ("we," "us," or "our") built AIR Client with the goal of collecting only what's needed to make the Client work well. This policy explains what that is, and the choices you have around it.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use AIR Client, we may collect:
- Account identifiers — your Minecraft username and UUID, used to load your profile and cosmetics.
- Client settings — your mod list, server bookmarks, and preferences, stored so they're there next time you open the Client.
- Usage & diagnostics — crash reports and performance data, used to fix bugs and improve stability.
- Communications — anything you send us directly, such as support requests or Discord messages.
We don't collect passwords — Minecraft/Microsoft account authentication is handled by Mojang/Microsoft directly, not by us.
3. How we use it
We use the data above to run core Client features (loading your profile, syncing settings, showing friends' online status), to diagnose and fix problems, and to understand which features are actually being used so we can prioritize what to build next.
4. Sharing & third parties
We don't sell your data. We may share limited data with:
- Service providers who help us host the Client or process crash reports, bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Third-party mod or server operators, but only the data needed for a feature you actively use (e.g., a server you join can see your in-game username, the same as it would in vanilla Minecraft).
- Authorities, if required by law or to protect the security of the Client and its users.
5. Storage & retention
Client settings that don't need to leave your device (like mod lists) are stored locally. Any data stored on our servers is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, or until you request deletion.
6. Your choices
You can:
- Clear locally stored settings by resetting the Client or deleting its config folder.
- Turn off diagnostic/crash reporting in Settings, if the Client offers that toggle.
- Request a copy or deletion of any data we hold about you by contacting us below.
7. Children's privacy
AIR Client is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them beyond what's required for basic Minecraft account functionality. If you believe a child has provided us data beyond that, contact us and we'll remove it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Client evolves. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, be announced in the Client or our Discord.
